Mix milk, oil, vinegar and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix biscuit mix and cornmeal.
Add milk mixture and blend with a fork. Form into a ball and knead 10 times.
Shape into balls and flatten with your hand.
Cook in shortening in skillet over medium-low heat until browned on both sides and cooked through.
