Pan Apple Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. cold coffee and 2 c. peeled, cored and chopped fine apples, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cream the sugar, shortening and egg.
Add dry ingredients alternating with coffee.
Add apples.
Put in greased 9 x 9-inch square pan.
Top with brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
