P.D.Q. Pickles
P.D.Q. Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 c. thinly sliced cucumbers, 2 c. thinly sliced onions, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. vinegar and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In glass or crockery bowl, alternately layer cucumbers and onions.
In pan, combine all other ingredients.
Bring to boiling, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers and onions.
Cool slightly.
Cover tightly.
Refrigerate 24 hours before using.
Store up to 1 month in refrigerator. Makes 7 cups.
