Oyster Stew
Oyster Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 2 doz. oysters with liquid, 1 qt. scalded milk, 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce and 1 tsp. celery salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Melt butter in a deep saucepan until sizzling.
Add oysters and liquid.
Reduce flame and cook slowly approximately 3 to 5 minutes or until edges of oysters curl slightly.
Add remaining ingredients and heat quickly, but do not boil.
Serve immediately. Top with paprika and lumps of butter.
