Pull crumbs from crusts of 3 or 4 day old bread.

Disregard crusts.

Add salt, seasonings and pepper; toss.

Melt margarine, add celery and onion.

Saute until just softened, then stir in oysters.

Pour over bread crumbs with chicken stock.

Mix lightly with fork or hands.

Put in 8 x 11 x 2-inch baking dish and cook, uncovered, in 350Β° oven for one hour.

Yields 6 servings.
