Orange Slice Nutty Fruit Cake
Orange Slice Nutty Fruit Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, 2 c. granulated sugar, 4 eggs, 1 tsp. soda and 1/2 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to creamed mixture.
Put flour in large bowl and add chopped dates, nuts, coconut and orange slices.
Stir to coat each piece.
Add flour and fruit mixture to creamed mixture.
Dough should stiffen (you can handle with hands).
Put into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 3-inch pan.
Bake in a 250Β° oven 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
