Orange Slice Cake
Orange Slice Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 2 c. sugar, 4 eggs, 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, divided and 1 lb. orange slice candy, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Toss candy, dates, and nuts in 1/2 cup of the flour.
Sift remaining flour and soda.
Add alternately with the milk to the batter. Stir in coconut and candy mixture.
Grease a tube pan and line bottom with waxed paper.
Spread batter in pan.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean.
Remove from oven and glaze.
