Orange Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with oranges, peeled and sectioned (enough to cover bottom of a baking dish), 1 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk (not skim) plus water to make 2 c. and 2 to 3 slices white bread, broken up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Soak bread in milk/water mixture.

Beat egg yolks well.

Blend sugar and cornstarch in top of double boiler and cook 15 minutes, stirring often.

Add egg yolks and cook 5 more minutes, stirring.

Let custard cook and pour over orange sections.

Prepare meringue and place on pudding.

Put in a 300Β° oven 12 to 15 minutes.

Turn oven off and leave in oven another 15 minutes.
