Onion Shortcake
Onion Shortcake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 big sweet onion, 1/4 c. butter, 1 pkg. jiffy corn muffin mix, 1 egg, beaten and 1/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Slice onion in rings, saute in butter, set aside.
Add together Jiffy mix, egg, 1/3 cup milk, creamed corn and Tabasco.
Place this in greased baking dish (larger than 8-inches square, although I've used 8-inch and was happy.)
Add to sauteed onion, the sour cream, salt, dill weed, 1/2 cup grated cheese.
Spread over batter and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup grated cheese.
In a preheated oven, bake at 425Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
