Onion Rings
Onion Rings is an easy dinner. Made with 2 large bermuda onions, peeled and cut in 1/4-inch slices, 1 c. milk, 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1/8 tsp. salt and crisco shortening for deep frying, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Separate onion slices into rings.
Put them in a shallow dish. Pour the milk over them.
Soak for 30 minutes turning twice.
Mix flour and salt in a plastic bag.
Add onion rings a few at a time to coat well.
Heat Crisco to 325Β° in deep saucepan.
Fry onion rings for 2 or 3 minutes.
Drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with salt.
