Peel onion. Cut in 1/2-inch slices. Separate rings.
Combine dry ingredients and stir well. Add eggs, milk and teaspoon oil. Beat until smooth. Dip onion rings into batter and fry in deep hot oil until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
