Onion Rings

Cut onions 1/3 to 1/2-inch thick.
Soak in the cup of milk for two hours.
Drain well.
Bake batter with the flour, salt, butter, eggs and the milk the onions were soaked in.
Dip rings one at a time; fry one at a time in Crisco.
Drain when browned.
