Onion Pie
Onion Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 30 saltines, crushed, 1/2 c. butter or oleo, 3 c. onions, sliced, 1/4 c. butter or oleo and 1/2 lb. grated cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix cracker crumbs in 1/2 cup softened or melted butter; press into greased shallow baking dish.
Saute sliced onions in 1/4 cup butter, then pour over cracker crumbs.
Sprinkle grated cheese over onions.
Mix scalded milk, beaten eggs, salt and pepper. Pour over top of cheese.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes, or until it's set like custard.
