Old-Fashioned Upside-Down Cake
Old-Fashioned Upside-Down Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 white or yellow cake mix, 1 c. ice water, 3/4 cube butter or margarine, 1 can pineapple (4 slices) and 1 to 2 c. pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Melt butter in an 11-inch iron skillet.
Add brown sugar and spread all over bottom of skillet after sugar is melted.
Cut 3 pineapple slices in half.
Place uncut one in the center of skillet.
Then place halves all around skillet, making it look like a pinwheel.
Then place a cherry in the center of all pineapple.
Next, take pecans (flat side up) and fill in bottom of skillet, center to sides with them.
