Old Fashioned Doughnuts
Old Fashioned Doughnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 eggs, 1 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/4 c. cooking oil, 1 1/2 c. sour milk and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Beat eggs until light in color.
Add sugar and nutmeg; beat until light.
Add oil and stir.
Add salt and milk with the soda stirred in.
Add 2 1/2 cups flour with baking powder; beat until smooth.
Add rest of flour and dough will start to leave the spoon.
Flour the kneading board lightly, roll out and cut.
Fry in hot lard.
Recipe makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
