Old Fashioned Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 10 c. bread cubes (soft), 4 c. milk, scalded with 1 stick butter, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 4 eggs and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven bread cubes in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients;
If there is too much liquid, add more cubes.
A 9 x 13-inch pan and pat down evenly.
Another, larger pan with hot water, 1-inch deep.
Bake for about 50 minutes, or until knife inserted 1 inch comes out clean.
Cool; cut into squares. Delicious warm or cold!
