Oklahoma Pork Chops
Oklahoma Pork Chops is an easy dinner. Made with 6 large pork chops, 6 thick lemon slices, 1/3 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. ketchup and 1 c. red wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Salt, pepper and brown chops on both sides.
Turn heat down to 300°.
Place a slice of lemon on each chop and pour sauce made of ketchup, brown sugar and wine over all.
Cover and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently so brown sugar does not burn.
You can also bake in oven at 350°, covered, for the same amount of time.
Time is not critical as long as heat is low.
Delicious and even the lemon slices taste good.
