Oklahoma Noodles
Oklahoma Noodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground pork, sausage or hamburger, 1 pkg. egg noodles, green peppers, canned whole tomatoes and onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Brown meat and drain.
While meat is cooking, slice green peppers into large slices (not chopped).
Brown in a small amount of olive oil until tender, but still firm.
Add the can of tomatoes (undrained) and the meat.
Add about 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1/8 teaspoon red pepper, 1 tablespoon sugar and minced garlic. Tabasco can also be added to taste.
Other spices can be added as desired.
When all ingredients are added, simmer for 1/2 hour, until flavors blend.
Cook noodles only until firm and add to mixture.
