Oatmeal Cookies
Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. brown sugar (firmly packed), 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Beat brown and granulated sugars, shortening, egg, vanilla and milk until smooth.
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Add all at once to egg mixture.
Beat until smooth.
Add oats and mix well.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet, 2-inches apart.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350Β° or until light brown.
Yields 3 dozen (2 1/2-inch) cookies.
