Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 28 minutes. Made with c. boiling water, c. uncooked quick oats, c. light brown sugar, c. white sugar and c. oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes.
Add brown sugar, white sugar, oleo and eggs; mix well.
Sift flour, soda, salt and cocoa.
Add to above mixture and mix well.
Add 1/2 chocolate chips and nuts. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Sprinkle rest of chocolate chips and nuts on top and bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes or until done.
Serve plain or with Cool Whip.
