Oatmeal Caramelitas
Oatmeal Caramelitas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. flour, 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces and 3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In large mixer bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, soda, salt and melted margarine.
Blend well to form crumbs. Press 1/2 of crumbs into the bottom of an 11 x 7-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle with chocolate pieces and pecans.
Blend caramel topping and flour; pour caramel mixture back and forth over chocolate and pecans to cover.
Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until golden brown.
Chill 1 to 2 hours.
Cut into bars.
