Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Mix well. Let stand until cool.
Cream the butter and sugars. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
Add salt, soda, cinnamon and flour gradually. Add oatmeal.
Pour into large 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
