Oatmeal Cake
Oatmeal Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 c. oatmeal, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. white sugar and 1 1/3 c. flour (self-rising), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
👨🍳 Instructions
Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Set aside to cool.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix brown sugar, white sugar, flour, shortening, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and eggs.
Beat 2 or 3 minutes; mix in oatmeal.
Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 350° until done (approximately 45 minutes).
