Oatmeal Cake
Oatmeal Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. oatmeal, 1 1/2 c. hot water, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. white sugar and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Pour hot water over oatmeal and let stand for 20 minutes.
Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs.
Add dry ingredients and oatmeal.
Mix thoroughly.
Stir in raisins.
Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.
Cool and frost with peanut butter frosting.
