Oatmeal Cake

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand until cool. Cream brown sugar, white sugar and shortening together.
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together and add to creamed mixture.
Add oatmeal and beat well.
Bake in greased and floured 7 1/2 x 11-inch cake pan at 350Β° for 35 minutes.
