Oatmeal Bread
Oatmeal Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. oatmeal, 1 c. brown sugar, 8 c. flour, 4 c. boiling water and 1 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Pour boiling water over oatmeal in a large bowl or pot.
Stir. Then add sugar, molasses, salt and Crisco.
Stir and let stand until lukewarm.
Add 4 cups of flour and yeast.
Then add remaining 4 cups of flour.
Mix thoroughly.
Let stand until double, 3 to 4 hours.
Stir mixture and let rise again.
This will take less time.
Spoon into two large greased bread pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
