Nutty Crescents
Nutty Crescents is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 tsp. water and 2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cream butter, shortening and sugar together.
Mix in water and vanilla, then flour and nuts.
Chill for 3 1/2 hours.
Form dough in long rolls, 1/2-inch across.
Cut in 3-inch lengths and shape in crescents.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 325Β° oven for 15 minutes.
(Do not brown cookies.)
Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Roll in confectioners sugar.
Makes about 4 dozen.
