Nutmeg Sauce
Nutmeg Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 1/2 tbsp. flour and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream butter in saucepan.
Gradually add sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
Blend in egg yolk, flour, vanilla and gradually add boiling water.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Stir in nutmeg (sprinkle in nutmeg, it will clump).
Makes about two cups.
