Nutmeg Feather Cake

Cream 1/4 cup margarine and 1/4 cup shortening with sugar.
Add vanilla.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add alternately with 1 cup buttermilk, 2 cups flour, nutmeg, soda, baking powder and salt. Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan or 2 (9-inch) cake pans. Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
