Grease cookie sheets.

Mix yeast with 1/4 cup warm water, then add sugar and small amount of sour cream to ferment.

Add oleo to salt and flour in a large bowl and mix until crumbly.

Add egg yolks, yeast mixture and remainder of sour cream; mix well.

Form into ball; turn out on board sprinkled lightly with flour.

Knead until smooth, about 5 to 10 minutes.

Divide dough into 6 equal parts.

Wrap in waxed paper.

Chill at least 3 hours or overnight. On board sprinkle with sugar, roll each part into a 12-inch circle. Cut into 12 triangles.

Spread with Walnut Filling.

Roll up and bake until golden brown at 350Β°, about 25 minutes.

When cool, dust with confectioners sugar (optional).

Makes 6 dozen.
