Nut Bars(Croation) is an easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. walnuts, ground fine, 2/3 c. almonds, ground fine, 6 egg yolks, 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten and 1 c. plus 2 tbsp.sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Beat egg yolks and sugar until light.
Add the ground nuts and mix thoroughly.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Do not mix long after egg whites are added.
Take small amounts of dough and shape into balls.
Roll in coarse sugar and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes or until done.
