Norwegian Kringla
Norwegian Kringla is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick butter, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cream butter and sugar together with mixer.
Mix in remaining ingredients.
May have to mix by hand by the time the last cup of flour is added.
When mixed well, chill dough overnight in the refrigerator.
When baking, take a 1/2 to 3/4 tablespoon of dough and touch lightly into some flour.
Roll out (with hands) to a length of 8 to 10 inches on a clean, lightly floured area of countertop or table.
Take string and form a pretzel shape (or an 8) on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450Β° for about 5 minutes. Can put them in the broiler for a few seconds to brown them a little.
