Norwegian Julekage
Norwegian Julekage is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1/4 c. lukewarm water, 1 1/2 c. scalded milk, 1/4 c. butter and 6 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Dissolve the yeast in the water.
Scald the milk.
Add the butter.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add softened yeast, sugar and salt. Mix well.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups sifted flour, egg and fruit.
Add 4 1/2 cups flour gradually to make soft dough.
Knead well.
Place in greased bowl.
Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
Punch down and let rise again.
Shape into 2 loaves.
Put in greased pans and let rise.
Bake 35 minutes in a 350Β° oven.
When cooled, frost tops.
