No Weeping Meringue is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. cold water, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 2 tbsp. sugar, 3 egg whites and 5 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine cornstarch, 2 tablespoons sugar and water.
Cook until mixture thickens.
Set aside to cool.
Beat egg whites until stiff; add 5 tablespoons sugar gradually.
Continue beating until very stiff.
Add the cooked mixture (which must be cold) beating well.
Add a few drops of vanilla.
Pile on pie and bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Open door, let pie remain in oven a few minutes longer before removing to cool.
This helps prevent the meringue from falling.
