No-Time Chili
No-Time Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 1 c. frozen chopped onion, unthawed, 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, 1 lb. lean ground beef and 1 (3/8 oz.) pkg. chili seasoning mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Heat oil in large saucepan over moderate heat for 1 minute. Add onion and green pepper; saute, stirring often for 2 minutes or until slightly softened.
Add beef; stir and cook for 2 minutes or until no longer pink.
Pour off the fat.
Add seasoning mix and black pepper to saucepan.
Cook over moderate heat for 1 minute.
Mix in tomatoes and kidney beans.
Bring to a simmer, stirring often.
Add green beans and red pepper flakes.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Cook rice according to package directions. Serve chili over rice and enjoy!
