No Sugar Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. each: dates, raisins and prunes, 1 c. water, 1 stick butter or oleo, 2 eggs and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Boil dates, raisins and prunes in together in water for 5 minutes.
Add butter or oleo; set aside.
In a bowl, mix eggs, soda, vanilla, salt, flour and chopped nuts.
Add fruit mixture to batter.
Add cinnamon, nutmeg or cloves, if desired.
Bake in a 7 x 11-inch pan at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool and cut.
