Nippy Nuts
Nippy Nuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground ginger, 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg, 1/16 tsp. ground red pepper and 3/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cover a jellyroll pan with waxed paper; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, red pepper and 1/4 cup of the sugar; set aside.
In a medium skillet, melt butter; stir in nuts, the remaining 1/2 cup of the sugar and 1 teaspoon water; cook and stir over medium heat until sugar melts and nuts start to brown, about 10 minutes.
Stir nuts into spice mixture, tossing to coat; spread on prepared pan and cool completely, then break into small pieces.
Store in a tightly covered container at room temperature.
