Never Fail Pie Crust is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. flour, 1 1/2 tbsp. sugar, 2 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 c. shortening (not lard) and 1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix flour, shortening, salt and sugar until mealy.
Add vinegar to egg and beat together with water.
Mix and chill for 1 hour.
Keep in refrigerator.
Makes enough crust for 4 to 5 pies. For smaller amount cut recipe in half.
This crust is great for frozen pies.
