Never Fail Dumplings
Never Fail Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 eggs, 1/2 c. milk, 2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. baking powder and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Beat eggs and milk together.
Sift dry ingredients together. Add to egg mixture and work thoroughly.
Add bread cubes.
Form into 2 dumplings.
Let rise 1 hour (they don't get very big).
Put into boiling water (use large pot).
Boil for 10 minutes.
Do not lift lid.
Turn over and boil 10 more minutes.
Keep pot covered. When finished, cut with string.
Great with gravy.
