Navy Bean Soup
Navy Bean Soup is an moderately easy soup you can prepare in about 1 hour 8 minutes. Made with c. dried navy beans, c. diced salt pork or 1 beef bouillon cube, qt. water, large progresso crushed tomatoes and large potatoes, peeled and diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Sort and wash beans.
Cover with water and soak overnight. Drain beans.
Add pork or melted bouillon cube and 2 quarts water. Boil for 2 minutes.
Cover; lower heat and simmer for 1 hour until beans are barely tender.
Add remaining ingredients until veggies are tender.
Serves 6.
