Nana's Chili Soup
Nana'S Chili Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger, 4 potatoes, 1 c. large elbow macaroni, 1 small onion and 1 can chili (no beans), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In pan, fry hamburger; set aside.
Peel potatoes, cut into small pieces and boil with macaroni.
(When it is finished boiling do not drain water.)
Add onion, chili, stewed tomatoes, salt to taste and chili powder to taste, then add fried hamburger.
The longer you let it simmer the better, at least 30 minutes.
Add water as needed.
Goes really good with Nana's cornbread.
