Nagasari is a Javanese steamed cake of rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, and banana wrapped in banana leaf. The soft white cake should reveal a sweet banana center.

Cook rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, pandan, and salt into a thick batter.
Soften banana leaves so they fold without tearing.
Place batter and a banana piece in each leaf.
Fold into flat parcels and steam until set.
Cool slightly before opening so the cake slices cleanly.
