Mystery Pudding

Mix flour, sugar, soda, salt, egg, cherry pie filling and vanilla together.
Pour in 8-inch square greased pan.
Mix nuts and brown sugar, sprinkle on top of batter.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 45 minutes or until cake tests done.
Serve with ice cream.
