My Best "Brittle" is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. raw peanuts, cashews or chopped almonds, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. white karo syrup, 1 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine nuts, sugar and syrup and microwave on High for 7 to 9 minutes (depends on your oven).
Add butter and vanilla; cook for additional 1 1/2 minutes.
Add baking soda and mix well. Immediately pour and spread onto well-greased cookie sheet.
