Mush is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. cold water, 1 c. meal, pinch of salt, 3 c. boiling water and 1/2 lb. sausage, crumbled and fried, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix the first 3 ingredients and add boiling water.
Cook 5 minutes.
In the meantime, fry sausage.
Press out grease.
Add brown sugar to mush along with the sausage, stirring well until blended.
When cold, slice and fry.
Good with syrup or eggs.
