Mud Pie
Mud Pie is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 42 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. margarine or butter, melted, . vanilla, . salt and eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat oven to 325Β°.
Grease a round 8-inch pan or pie plate with shortening.
Mix sugar, margarine, vanilla, salt, flour, eggs and cocoa in a medium bowl with wooden spoon.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into pan.
Bake until wooden pick inserted comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
Immediately prick holes in pie with pick; spread fudge sauce over top.
Cool completely. Beat the whipping cream and powdered sugar in a small bowl until stiff. Drizzle fudge sauce on top.
Store in refrigerator.
