Mounds-Type Bars
Mounds-Type Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. crushed graham crackers, 1/3 c. sugar, 1/2 c. melted butter, 1 (7 oz.) pkg. flaked coconut and 1 can sweetened condensed milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix cracker crumbs, sugar and butter.
Press into a 9 x 13-inch buttered pan.
Sprinkle coconut over crust.
Pour milk over coconut.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Top should be slightly brown.
Melt chocolate chips over low heat or in microwave and spread over warm bars.
If chocolate is stiff, add a little margarine.
Yields 15 to 20 bars.
