Moonshine Beans
Moonshine Beans is an easy dinner. Made with 2 cans pork and beans (any brand), approximately 1 lb. bacon, fried crisp, 1/2 c. diced onion, 1/2 c. apple juice or whiskey (i prefer apple juice) and 1/4 c. brown sugar or molasses (2 tbsp. sweetener if cooking for a diabetic), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Fry onion in bacon grease; drain.
Mix all ingredients well. Pour into a buttered baking dish.
Bake approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold.
