Mom's Sweet Bread
Mom'S Sweet Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. yeast, 1/4 c. warm water, 1 c. evaporated milk, 1 c. water and 1/2 c. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Dissolve yeast and warm water.
Heat milk and butter.
Combine milk mixture (when cooled) to yeast.
Stir in beaten eggs, grated rind and citron.
Add sifted flour, sugar and salt.
Mix well. Knead until smooth.
Let dough rise in a warm place until double (about 2 hours).
Punch down; shape into loaves.
Let rise about 1 hour.
Brush top with beaten egg and add colored sprinkles, if desired.
Bake in a 350Β° oven.
