Mom's Fruitcake
Mom'S Fruitcake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 c. eggs, 1 c. buttermilk and 3 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Beat together the butter, sugar, eggs and buttermilk.
Then set aside.
Next, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Gradually beat the dry ingredients into the egg batter.
Add the flavorings after the dry ingredients.
Stir in the fruits and nuts last.
Pour into greased and floured pans. The mixture will be extremely thick.
Bake in a slow oven at 200Β° overnight.
Great smell to wake up to!
